Swann Morton sterile blades with handle
Swann Morton sterile single-use scalpels, individually packaged in trays and packed in quantities of 10. The scalpel has a size scale on the back of the handle (for indication only) to reflect our range of metal stainless steel handles and is marked with the CE symbol that previously only appeared on the outer packaging of the product. The sterile scalpels are individually packaged in a transparent, thermoformed tray that offers better visibility of the product and is designed to help with safe passing techniques. When the package is opened, the seal changes color, indicating whether the integrity of the package has been compromised and assuring the user of sterility up to the moment of use.
Single-use scalpels are seen as a convenient alternative to the traditional blade attached to a metal handle, but do not offer the same feel and lateral stability when making incisions, therefore they are usually used for minor procedures outside the operating room and on hospital wards. They can also be seen in the Emergency Department (Emergency Department) where time can be of the essence, especially in the treatment of severe trauma victims.
