How to use the Swann Morton Stitch Cutter</h2

1. If necessary, thoroughly clean the area with an
   appropriate solution. Holding the free end of the
   suture, then slide under the stitch cutter so that it
   lays flat on the patient's skin.
2. Gently rotate the stitch cutter upwards so that
   the cutting edge contacts the suture material when
   as close as possible to where it penetrates the skin.
3. Pull gently on the suture making sure that the
   exposed portion is
   the world is thus not pulled through the wound
   introducing possible contamination and an
   increased risk of post-infection.
