The No. 10 blade with its curved cutting edge is one of the more traditional blade shapes and is generally used for making incisions of various sizes in skin and muscle. The No. 10 is commonly used in more specialized surgeries, such as harvesting the radial artery during coronary artery bypass surgery, opening the bronchus during thoracic surgery, uterine incisions for cesarean section, and for inguinal hernia repair. The No. 10 fits Handles No. 3.
